Awakening the Lion to Begin a New Chapter
“Crossing seas to gather in the South, moving forward together with one stroke.” MICRO-TECH Medical recently held its INSPIRE.YOU – Empowering Endoscopy Mastery Across Borders academic symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. To mark the opening, Professor Sanjiv Mahadeva from the Endoscopy Centre of the University of Malaya Medical Centre and Mr. Zhang Bo, Senior Vice President of MICRO-TECH Medical, jointly dotted the eyes of the traditional lion, symbolically ushering in new collaboration and dialogue through innovation.

In his remarks, Mr. Chris Le, Executive President of MICRO-TECH emphasized: “True innovation is not born in isolation. It comes from deep dialogue and exploration together with clinicians.” This philosophy reflects MICRO-TECH’s mission: advancing clinical practice through technology and innovation.

The eye-dotting ceremony marked the ceremonial opening of the academic program. Experts from around the world gathered to collaboratively advance the field—using innovation in endoscopy as ink and cross-border partnership as canvas—painting a vibrant new chapter in digestive endoscopy.
Innovation Enabling New Clinical Frontiers
In the live surgery broadcast segment, MICRO-TECH products including the Golden Knife, Tri-Arm Clip, FNB EUS Needle, and eyeMAX Insight Visualization Platform were demonstrated in real clinical procedures. The presenting physicians highlighted the synergy between surgical strategy and device capability, illustrating how innovative tools can elevate precision and workflow in endoscopic practice.

In the exhibition zone, MICRO-TECH curated four thematic spaces: ESD, ERCP, eyeMAX Insight, and Endoscopic Clip Family. Beyond product demonstrations, hands-on workshops allowed participants to experience real-time device handling. During the eyeMAX session, invited clinicians guided attendees through practical operation, enabling a truly immersive “see it, feel it, and use it” learning experience that bridges knowledge and clinical skill.

Academic Exchange to Shape Future Directions
Three focused academic tracks—ESD, EUS, and ERCP—provided structured platforms for deep knowledge exchange. Interactive Q&A sessions encouraged open discussions between gastroenterologists and surgeons, with cross-disciplinary perspectives sparking new diagnostic and therapeutic insights.

Nearly 200 Malaysian digestive endoscopy professionals participated—representing more than half of all endoscopists in the country. The halls were filled, discussions lively, and academic exchanges vigorous, reflecting strong momentum in advancing clinical excellence.

MICRO-TECH is committed to building global platforms for academic exchange to continuously advance the field of endoscopy.
